Returns & Refund Policy

15-Day Return Window

You may request a return within 15 days of delivery for any of the following reasons. After 15 days, we are unable to accept return requests.

Eligible Return Reasons

  • Book arrived physically damaged (torn pages, broken spine, water damage)
  • Wrong book delivered (different title, author, or edition than ordered)
  • Book is missing from the package
  • Defective printing (missing pages, blank pages, printing errors)

Non-Returnable Situations

  • Book has been read, highlighted, or annotated by the customer
  • Outer packaging removed or damaged by the customer
  • Return requested after 15 days of delivery
  • Change of mind (we do not accept returns for personal preference)
  • Customer ordered the wrong title or edition by mistake

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email support@bookshops.in or WhatsApp +91 99446 78357 with your order number
  2. Attach a photo or video showing the issue (damage, wrong item, etc.)
  3. Our team will respond within 24 hours and guide you through the return process
  4. Once approved, we arrange a free reverse pickup from your location

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned book, we will issue a full refund within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. COD orders are refunded via NEFT/UPI to your provided bank details.

Replacement Option

Instead of a refund, you may choose a replacement of the same book (same ISBN and edition). Replacements are dispatched after we receive the returned item.
